I have received a copy of this book in an exchange for an honest review.
This review is going to be very short, because I haven't really got much to say about this book since it was not my thing.

This book was not my thing.
While it does happen from time to time that I do enjoy a contemporary novel, it is still not very often. Sadly enough, this book was not an exception.
I have to say that it was very mature. Considering the main heroine was 15, she was incredibly grown-up like and quite responsible. However, my long-term anxious persona didn’t really like her impulsiveness. Maybe that is why I couldn't relate to her at all. I also didn’t enjoy the general gloominess of the book. I’m not necessarily always optimistic, but I don’t enjoy reading about how ‚crap‘ all the things are.
However, I can see people liking this book. I have to say, something about it made me feel the same way when I’ve read The Catcher in the Rye. I can’t quite pinpoint what it was exactly, but it was the same thing that caused me a mild anxiety because of what happened in the book and how the main character reacted to events and people.
About the writing style, it was very hard for me to get into. I had trouble actually reading the book since I had to go back every now and then to read a sentence. But maybe it was generally because this kind of books is not my style.
